We are Canvey Island RUFC
A Truly Grassroots Club
From Friday night socials to Sunday morning scrums, Canvey Island RUFC is a grassroots club with heart. Based in Castle Point, we are a community club to our core.
Founded in 1970, we’re proud to welcome players, volunteers and supporters of all ages and abilities, male and female, so that everyone can enjoy the sport we love.
If you or your child would like to get involved, come along and have a chat with us, or contact us using the form below. We'd love to hear from you.
Clubhouse
We are fortunate to have a fantastic clubhouse on site which is at the heart of everything we do. With a well appointed bar and a fantastic outlook onto our training area and pitches,
it's a great place to grab a well earned drink after a busy week on a Friday evening, a celebratory drink after a match, or a bacon sandwich and cuppa on a Sunday morning.
The venue is also available to hire for private functions through the year, with a fully licensed bar and ample parking. Please get in touch with us for details.
Volunteering
Clubs such as ours only exists and thrives thanks to the help and time given by many people across the community. Whether you want to get involved playing in our Ladies, Youth or Men's teams, help out with coaching, or help us with the running of the club, we are always looking for more help.
Please contact us if you'd like to get involved. We'd love to hear from you.
